The Little Dancing Bear represents more than 200 million children throughout the world who are being exploited.
More than half of these children are girls. Child labour involves children being separated from their families. They are trafficked into slavery for cheap labour, sexual exploitation or sold into bondage as domestic servants.
These children are denied schooling and education and are forced to work in hazardous conditions, which may include the use of dangerous chemicals and harmful machinery.
This takes a toll on their health. They become susceptible to persistent and chronic illness such as asthma and other breathing-related illness, arthritis and falling eye-sight.
Know who makes the goods that you purchase. Say NO to child labour.
